BADASSBOX for YAMAHA Motors
Where is your sensor?
The speed sensor and its positioning are decisive for which badass box you need.
We distinguish between the classic mounting on the chain stay and the integrated mounting in the area of the dropout.
Sensor on the chain stay
A good indication that your sensor is on the chain stay is the presence of a spoke magnet.
In addition, the sensor is usually direct and easily visible.
Yamaha Classic Sensor
If this sensor of your Yamaha motor - as shown in the picture below - is located on the chain stay of your bike, then the badassBox 4 Yamaha is exactly what you need.
Sensor in the area of the dropout
If the sensor is integrated, then you do not have a spoke magnet, but instead a magnet on the brake disc.
To get a good view of the sensor, it is recommended to remove the rear wheel.
Yamaha Classic Sensor
This sensor has been mounted on the chainstay for many years, but it is also integrated into the dropout. We have put together the badassBox 4 Yamaha X-Set for this configuration.
Yamaha Slim Sensor
This sensor has been mounted in the area of the dropout since 2022. We suggest the badassBox 4 Yamaha 2024 for this configuration.
